Nicole & Koby's Country Club Wedding at Heritage Springs
“Are you comfortable climbing ladders?” was one of the qualifying questions we were asked by Nicolle and Koby on the day that they asked us to join their wedding day team. And because we can never turn down an interesting challenge, we said, “Of course!” Now you may be wondering why on earth we would be climbing industrial height ladders on a wedding day, and the answer is: How else would we get a group photo of Nicolle and Koby’s ENTIRE guest list at the end of their ceremony?! This image was extremely important to our bride, because she had a a large part of her guests traveling all the way from her home land of Australia.
The bride and groom began their day by getting ready in a couple of the beautifully spacious suites at The Holiday Inn of Trinity. The ladies relaxed, drank Starbucks (or at least specialty cocktails out of Starbucks cups!), and were pampered by their hair and makeup team all while draped in matching robes. The guys engaged in the usual shenanigans while helping each other dress in their Sunday Best. When all of the preparations were complete, we all made our way to the wedding venue.
Heritage Springs Country Club was a picturesque location for their wedding. With a large, high-ceiling foyer, there was plenty of space to host their ceremony indoors and still enjoy plenty of natural light. A dear friend of Nicolle’s married the two, and this was the part where the ladder came into play. We quickly snapped an epic, panoramic group shot before whisking the newly weds and their family onto the beautiful greens surrounding the club house for portraits.
As sunset drew closer, we obtained a few golf carts to speed our couple off to one final, iconic portrait location. As we drove, the weather began to shift and the refreshing breeze that had been blowing picked up and turned chilling. The skies darkened, but a brilliant sunset was nevertheless unfolding through the clouds. Although a few rain drops mixed with the wind, the weather held out just long enough for us to steal a handful of amazing, dramatic Just Married portraits.
Escaping back to the dry sanctuary of the reception, the couple partied the night away with their loved ones from near and far.
Nicolle and Koby had a beautiful wedding day that celebrated love and the blending of hearts and families. They were a joy to spend the day with, and we wish them and their new family unit so many years of happiness and continued unity!
