Marissa & Nathan's Wedding at The White Chapel
With some couples, there is more than meets the eye after your first meeting with them. When we first met Marissa and Nathan, they were a soft-spoken, reserved pair with a desire to celebrate their blessed union and appease their families by keeping their wedding classic and traditional. We felt a strong connection with them and knew that capturing their engagement session and wedding would make for some sweet, timeless additions to our own photo book.
But what we didn’t know was that this seemingly quiet, laid-back couple had an awesome, fun-loving, quirky side that only strengthened our bond with them as it revealed itself! Their engagement session was our first opportunity to begin slowly peeling back the layers of this dynamic relationship’s personality (allow us to refresh your memories: CLICK HERE), and from there our chemistry as a team only grew stronger.
Marissa and Nathan’s wedding was held in the White Chapel and Harbor Hall in Palm Harbor, and it was the quintessential backdrop to create a timeless, traditional vibe for their day. The church itself is loaded with history, from its original stained glass windows to its modest, minimal altar that draws your attention immediately to the people standing at it. The ceremony was beautiful in its simplicity, with a unique element of having a dear friend serenade the wedding guests live as they awaited the bride’s procession down the aisle.
Marissa’s gown and cathedral veil absolutely stole the show with their elaborate elegance, but witnessing the intense joy and gratitude at becoming Mr. and Mrs. Egbert was still the crowning moment of the day! While the overall theme was clean and traditional, Marissa and Nathan still brought in some fun flare in their choice of portrait styles throughout the day. Marissa incorporated some ultra-femme, fun and flirty elements into her bridal prep portraits with some tea set props. During the wedding party portraits we played a game of tug-o-war to get everyone in the group having fun while creating some adorably playful portraits!
And let’s give some extra love to our two favorite photo choices that our couple made: Making time for a Father-Daughter First Look and a couple’s First Touch before their vows. We’ll let those images speak for themselves below!
Between Marissa and Nathan offering up creative, fun additions to their portraits and trusting McNeile Photography to incorporate their vision into our own wheelhouse of skills, the Egberts ended up with their dream gallery of images when all was said and done. We are so happy to have found them, and we can’t wait to continue to celebrate their love with them as the years progress!
