The Faurote's Museum of Fine Arts Wedding

Every wedding holds sentimental value to us, but there is something extra emotional when we get to document the union of two dear friends.  When we were introduced to Britny and James by a mutual friend, we had a strong feeling that their wedding would be a very special addition to our photography portfolio; but we would learn very quickly what an important addition they would be to our lives as people!

Their engagement session back in 2018 (refresh your memory here) was just a small teaser of all of the photogenic magic that these two’s wedding day would hold, so you can imagine our childlike excitement when the big day finally arrived!

We shared several fun date days and nights over the months leading up to their wedding day, plus bonds were further strengthened when Britny planned a bridal boudoir session with Chanel Fernandez Photography in order to provide a beautiful and intimate gift for her groom.  So by the time THE day was here, the four of us were just so excited to enjoy a day full of love and beautiful photography to remember it by.

“You guys!!! AHHHH!!! IT’S HERE!!!,” read the text we received from our bride on the morning of their wedding.  This set the tone for the energy of the whole day, and we couldn’t wait to meet Britny and James at the Avalon hotel in St Pete for the beginning portion of the day’s festivities.  Separately we photographed the bride and her ladies getting ready, throwing celebratory Lightning-themed confetti, and exchanging a sentimental gift with James’s young daughter; meanwhile, the groom was prepping and opening his custom box of prints from his bride.

This couple understood exactly the importance of timing for quality photography, and we appreciated the value that they placed on our opinion and skillset to provide just that: a quality photographic experience throughout their wedding day.  This meant crafting a perfectly planned timeline full of pockets for beautifully curated moments throughout the day.

Before whisking our friends away for a scenic First Look in Straub Park, we left a small window of time for James to share a first look with his daughter, Olivia, who happily embraced her father and twirled in her special wedding day gown.  Britny and James exchanged their first look beneath the blooming white trellis of the park, and their reactions could not have been more photo worthy!  Once we had snapped a few (okay, a little more than a few!) individual and couple’s portraits, we were ready to tackle family AND wedding party portraits all before the ceremony.  Choosing this strategic sequence of events was a great way to get right to partying post-ceremony!

The ceremony itself took place in the serene courtyard within the Museum of Fine Arts where Britny and James exchanged moving personal vows that spoke not only of their love for one another, but their shared love of Olivia and the new family they were instantly forming.  Because of their seamless timeline, we only had to borrow our newlyweds for about 30 minutes for their Just Married portraits before allowing them to partake in the party of a lifetime that they had planned!

Britny, James, and all of their beloved guests partied hard to the insanely talented live performances by The Actual Bank Robbers .  The crowd and the newlyweds lived out all of their rock star fantasies all night long, and the dance floor did not rest for an instant; not until the lights cut on after what felt like the blink of an eye, signaling the end of the reception.

To summarize, our friends Britny and James were the glamorous stars of the picture perfect day that we had all fantasized about for so long.  From start to finish, every moment overflowed with beauty, joy, and pure loving emotion.  Being a part of their day was anything BUT work, and we are so excited for the future full of passion and happiness that lies ahead for the Faurote family.
