Katie & Jordons Sunken Garden Wedding

We clicked so naturally with our friends Katie and Jordon that you would have no idea that our first meeting was on their wedding day!  Reaching out all the way from Minnesota, our couple had a small, tropical destination ceremony in mind.  The botanical beauty of Sunken Gardens in St. Pete Florida just happened to fit the bill, and we were the perfect local photographers to get the festivities covered!

With only an 8 person gathering composed of family, nothing screamed “intimate ceremony” louder than the handful of simple white chairs beneath a sprawling tree nestled in the luscious greenery of the gardens.  Jordon surprised his bride with a beautiful new engagement ring to go with her wedding band, and the two sealed the deal with a sand ceremony.

Family portraits were a brief and easy task, which left us with plenty of time to guide our newly married couple all throughout the most scenic nooks of the gardens.  The whole afternoon was showered with sunlight and laughter as the four of us hung out and captured the “just married” joy of the day.  Their happiness and ease together was contagious, and Katie had studied our instagram so thoroughly for months that their posing game was almost as strong as ours!!!  When we got our fill of waterfall backdrops and serene bridge scenes, we ended our time together with a stroll down a red brick side street whose bright pink blossoms stole the show at the last minute.

This magical afternoon with Katie and Jordon was hardly work, and we genuinely believe that their lives will cross paths with ours again in the future!  There are rumors of a first year anniversary trip back to the Sunshine State, and we sincerely hope they’re true.

“Our wedding couldn't have gone more perfect, especially the photography. Arron & Chanel were phenomenal and fun to work with! I found them online since they had such great reviews and we were coming from out of state. I would recommend them to anyone. I also love following their social media pages, filled with their work and personal life. Thank you guys!!”
